Energy performance certificates (EPCs) for landlords
Whilst EPCs are mandatory for property sales as part of the Home Information Pack, they are not yet required for rented property. This is about to change from the 1st October 2008.As a landlord you will be required to arrange for an EPC on your rental properties. You will need to provide a certificate to any prospective tenant. Once obtained, a certificate remains valid for up to 10 years. Owners of rented property are encouraged to obtain Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) before the deadline.
We can help landlords by providing a fast, friendly service throughout Nottinghamshire.
